Embedding Power BI Online Reports into Yeeflow

Power BI Online reports provide a powerful way to visualize and analyze data. With Yeeflow's Embed control, you can easily integrate Power BI reports into your Yeeflow applications. This allows you to view and interact with Power BI reports directly within Yeeflow, providing a seamless user experience.


To embed a Power BI Online report into Yeeflow, follow these steps:

Add Embed control to Yeeflow Designers

Open the Yeeflow application where you want to display the Power BI report. This can be an approval form, a list form, or a dashboard page.

Go to the form designer or page designer in Yeeflow. You can either open an existing approval form, a list form, a dashboard page. Or, add a new such type of component. For example, create a new Dashboard page:

Then, edit this page by opening the designer. From the left controls panel, locate the "Embed" control under the Advanced section, and drag and drop it onto the designer canvas.

Obtain the embed code for your Power BI Online report

This can be done by opening the report in Power BI Online and at the top of the report, click on the "File" option in the menu bar. In the dropdown menu, select the "Embed report" option. This will open a sub-menu. From the sub-menu, select either "Website or Portal".

This will open the "Embed Report" dialog box. In the "Embed Report" dialog box, you will see the link and HTML which can be used to embed the report into other applications.

Copy the code in the HTML text box, This will copy the code to your clipboard.

Customize the options in the dialog box as needed. You can choose to include filters, navigation, and other interactions in the embedded report.

You now have the embed code for your Power BI Online report. You can paste this code into the Content text area of the Yeeflow Embed control in the Yeeflow form or page designer, as mentioned in the previous steps.

Use the embed code provided by Power BI Online

In the Yeeflow form or page designer, select the Embed control that you added earlier. In the properties panel for the Embed control, locate the "Content" text area.

Paste the embed code into the Content text area of the Embed control properties panel.

Once you have configured the Embed control, save and publish the form or dashboard to apply the changes and exit the designer.

Click the "Sign in" button within Yeeflow to sign in with your Microsoft account. This is required to access the embedded Power BI report.

Once signed in, you will be able to view the Power BI report directly within Yeeflow, allowing you to interact with the report's visualizations and explore the data.


By embedding Power BI reports into Yeeflow, you can leverage the full capabilities of Power BI within your Yeeflow applications. This integration enhances data analysis and reporting capabilities, making it easier for users to access and interact with relevant insights.

Note:

Make sure that the users accessing the embedded Power BI report have the necessary permissions to view the report in Power BI Online. Additionally, the embedded report will reflect any security and access restrictions set in Power BI Online.
