The Open Dashboard Step type allows for the opening of a dashboard when a specific action is triggered in a form or dashboard. This dashboard can be designed based on specific business needs and is typically used to display information, collect data, or facilitate complex user interactions.


Applicable Scenarios:

  • When there is a need to showcase or gather complex data using a custom dashboard.

  • When it is necessary to present specific business logic or dynamic content within the workflow.

  • When user interaction requirements exceed the capabilities of standard forms and must be achieved through a custom dashboard.

Note:

The Open Dashboard Step type is suitable for various types of forms, including list forms, approval forms, and dashboards.


How to Configure?

  • Execution Conditions: Set the trigger conditions for the custom dashboard, which can be configured based on different business logic. For detailed information about execution conditions, please refer to the execution conditions of actions.

Select Application and Custom Dashboard Data Source:

  • Application: Choose the application to which the custom dashboard belongs.

  • Dashboard: The data source can be a custom dashboard or report.

  • Query Parameters: Configure the query parameters to be passed to the custom dashboard. These parameters can include the names and values of custom settings added afterward for dynamic querying or display on the dashboard.

Open In: The method of opening the dashboard determines user experience and the format of the interface display:

  • Pop-up Window: The dashboard is displayed in a popup window.

  • Slide in: The dashboard slides in from the right side of the page.

  • Full Page: The dashboard displays in full screen on the current page.

  • New Window: The dashboard opens in a new page window.

Size: Based on the content of the dashboard and user interface requirements, you can choose the display size:

  • Default: The system automatically adjusts the size based on the content.

  • Large, Medium, Small: Pre-set window sizes suitable for different content display needs.

  • Full screen: The dashboard displays in full screen, suitable for complex or large content.

Once configured, when the user triggers this step in the action, the corresponding dashboard will open according to the settings, enabling flexible data display and interactive operations.
