With Create with AI, you can quickly generate a Data List by simply describing what you want to build. AI analyzes your prompt and automatically generates the list structure, including recommended fields and configurations.
This feature helps reduce manual setup and makes designing your data structure faster and more efficient.
Create a Data List Using AI
Follow these steps to create a new Data List using AI.
Step 1: Open the app and create a component
Open the target application and click Create New Component.
In the component selection panel, choose Data list.
The Create a data list page will open.
Step 2: Select Create with AI
In the Create a data list window, you will see several creation options:
New data list – Create an empty Data List and configure fields manually
Import data list – Import a Data List from a
.ydlfileCreate with AI – Automatically generate a Data List structure using AI
Use Template – Choose and install a Data List from the built-in template library
Click Create with AI.
Step 3: Describe the Data List you want to create
The AI builder – Create data list page will open.
In the input box, describe the Data List you want to create. For example:
Inventory management for office supplies with reorder levels.
You can also select one of the suggested scenarios as a reference.
AI will analyze your description and generate a suggested data list structure.
Step 4: Review the AI-generated structure
After submitting your prompt, AI generates a suggested data structure.
The generated structure typically includes:
Field groups
Field names
Recommended field types
Review the generated structure and confirm whether it meets your requirements.
If the structure looks correct, click Keep and generate.
Step 5: Generate the Data List definition
AI will then generate the Data List definition based on the confirmed structure.
A preview of the generated Data List will appear on the right side of the page, including fields and sample records.
Click Create data list in the top-right corner to continue.
Step 6: Confirm Data List settings
A New data list dialog will appear.
Configure the following information:
Name – The name of the Data List
Description – A brief description of the list
Include sample data – Optionally generate sample records
Click OK to complete the creation.
Step 7: Data List created
After confirmation, the Data List will be created automatically.
If sample data was selected, the list will include example records.
