Container-Execute type

In this article, we are going to discuss the execute type of container. For other settings about container please refer to: Container.


When the container is clicked, there are typically 5 options available. However, when the container is within a collection, there may be an additional 6 option.


1.Execute an action.

Select Action from the dropdown of the Execute Type. Then, bind a pre-defined action from the Action dropdown list, or create a new action.


2.Link

Select Link from the dropdown of the Execute Type and set the URL for the container's link. Click the cog to set the link to open in a new window.


3.Add list item

Choose 'Add List Item' from the dropdown of the Execute Type and select the Application and Data Source. You have the option to configure Default values and Query parameters.

Also you can select which data list form you want to use.

Additionally, you have the flexibility to choose the data list form you wish to utilize.

There are four opening options available: pop-up window, Slide-in, Full page, and New page.

For pop-up window and Slide-in options, you can also customize the page size.


4.Open dashboard

Select 'Open dashboard' from the dropdown of the Execute Type and select the Application and Data Source, also you could Query parameters.

5.Open approval form

Select 'Open approval forms' from the dropdown of the Execute Type and select the Application and Data Source,also you could Set variables and Query parameters.

Collection item (Only for Container within collection)

When select Collection, there are 5 Operation ways which are View Item, Edit Item, Delete Item, Update Fields, and Start Workflow.

1. View/Edit/Delete Item

When selecting "View Item," "Edit Item," or "Delete," you have the option to choose which page you want to display.

There are four opening options available: pop-up window, Slide-in, Full page, and New page.

For the pop-up window and Slide-in options, you can also customize the page size.

2.Update Fields

When selecting "Update Fields," you have the option to specify which fields you want to update under the "Select Fields" section. Additionally, you can enable a confirmation message before execution by toggling the "Confirm before execution" switch. Once activated, you can customize the confirmation message as well as the text for the confirm and cancel buttons.

3.Start Workflow

When selecting 'Start Workflow,' you have the option to bind a pre-defined workflow from the Workflow dropdown list. Additionally, you can enable a confirmation message before execution by toggling the "Confirm before execution" switch. When this switch is activated, you can customize the confirmation message and the text for the confirm and cancel buttons.
