Updated over a week ago

In Yeeflow, the rating field is a special numeric type field used in data lists for adding visual rating controls, allowing users to rate using symbols like stars or hearts. This feature is invaluable for gathering user feedback and evaluating products or services. Here's how to add and configure a rating field:

1. Add a New Field

Navigate to your data list in Yeeflow.

Click the "+ New Column" button at the end of the table header.

A window will slide out on the right side of the screen.

2. Select Field Type

In the New Field Configuration window, find the ‘Field type’ drop-down list.

Select ‘Rating’ from the list of available field types.

Note:

The actual value of the rating field is of numeric type.

3. Configure the Field

  • Display Name: enter the ‘Display Name’ of the field in the text box provided.

  • Rating icon: Choose the rating type (e.g., Star, Heart, Number, Custom).

  • Number of icons: Set the maximum rating value, ranging from 3 to 10.

  • Half rating: If desired, the ‘Half rating’ option can be turned on to allow users to submit half a unit of ratings. Half-select cannot be set for numeric types.

  • Required: enable this option if this rating field is required in the data list.

  • Default value: sets the default value for the rating field to be displayed if the user has not yet done a rating. Clicking the Clear Defaults button allows the user to reset the rating to an unrated state.

4. Save the Field Settings

After configuring, click 'Save' to create the new rating field in your data list.
