Create new components from the new application resources

Use New application resource to create forms, lists, reports, dashboards, workflows, AI Agents, Copilots, and Knowledge sources.

The New application resource window provides a centralized place to create resources for your Yeeflow application. You can use it to add data and content resources, reports, dashboards, automation resources, AI Agents, Copilots, and Knowledge sources.

You can also start creating certain resources with AI or use built-in templates to accelerate setup for common business scenarios.

Open the New application resource window

  1. Open the application where you want to add a resource.

  2. Click Add resource.

  3. The New application resource window opens.

Overview of the New application resource layout

The window is organized into several areas to help you find and create the right resource more quickly.

Create with AI

Before you start: These instructions are for application administrators. Open the application you intend to change. If the creation entry or Build with AI is unavailable, ask your application administrator to confirm your access and the available features before proceeding.

Use Create with AI in the New application resource dialog to describe the resource you want to build.

AI-assisted creation supports eleven resource types:

Previously supported

Added to AI-assisted creation in the October 2026 update

Approval Form

Document Library

Data List

Form Report

Dashboard

Data Report

Scheduled Workflow

Knowledge Source

AI Agent

Copilot

Custom Service

What's new: The update expands AI-assisted creation to seven additional resource types. It does not introduce seven entirely new resource categories.

Describe, review and create

  1. Describe what you need in the Create with AI area. You can select a resource type to guide the request.

  2. Select Start with AI to begin the creation conversation.

  3. Review the Implementation Plan. Clarify anything that needs to change, then confirm the plan before creation proceeds.

  4. Review the result card and open the created resource to inspect its configuration.

Stay in the dialog: The creation conversation, plan review and result card remain in New application resource. You do not need to switch to the application's Ask AI panel to complete these steps.

Continue the saved conversation

After closing the creation dialog, open Ask AI → Build with AI. Open the conversation history and select the same saved conversation to continue improving the resource.

Restored saved-conversation example, documented October 30, 2026: a Document Library request in Build with AI. This illustrates continuation, not an approval-form or data-list result. The plan is collapsed; exact capture time is unknown.

Review before use: Check the generated configuration and test it against your requirements. Draft changes are not automatically published; follow the resource's applicable review, testing and publication steps.

Resource categories

You can filter resources by category:

  • All

  • Data & Content

  • Reports & Insights

  • Automation

  • AI & Knowledge

This helps you focus on the type of resource you want to create.

Resource cards

Each resource is displayed as a card with a name, description, and category label.

Available resource types include:

Search resources

Use the search box to quickly find a resource type by name.

Create resources from the resource center

The resource center supports multiple types of application resources. Some resources open a simple creation dialog, while others open a dedicated setup page.

Data and content resources

You can create resources for collecting, storing, and managing application data.

Available resources include:

  • Approval form: Create structured forms with workflow to manage requests, approvals, and business processes.

  • Data list: Store and manage structured business data in a flexible list format.

  • Document library: Store, organize, secure, and share files and documents within your application.

For detailed setup steps, see the related Help Center articles for approval forms, data lists, and document libraries.

Reports and dashboards

You can create resources for presenting and analyzing application data.

Available resources include:

  • Form report: Present and manage records submitted through approval forms.

  • Data report: Generate reports and analysis based on application data.

  • Dashboard: Build interactive pages with charts, metrics, and connected information blocks.

For detailed configuration steps, see the related Help Center articles for reports and dashboards.

Automation resources

You can create a Scheduled workflow directly from the resource center.

Scheduled workflows let you automate recurring actions and business logic based on a defined schedule. For example, you can configure a workflow to run daily, weekly, monthly, or during specific working days.

For detailed scheduling and configuration steps, see the Scheduled Workflow Help Center article.

AI and knowledge resources

You can also create AI-powered resources from the same window.

Available resources include:

  • AI Agent: Create intelligent agents that can retrieve information, reason, and perform tasks.

  • Copilot: Add an AI assistant to help users search, ask questions, and complete tasks.

  • Knowledge source: Define and manage the knowledge sources used by AI-powered features.

For detailed setup steps, see the related Help Center articles for AI Agents, Copilots, and Knowledge sources.

Create AI Agents and Copilots from built-in templates

The resource center also supports built-in templates for AI Agents and Copilots. Templates help you start from a common business scenario instead of configuring everything from scratch.

Create an AI Agent from a template

  1. In the New application resource window, click AI Agent.

  2. In the AI Agent creation page, browse the available templates.

  3. Select a template to preview its purpose and description.

  4. Review the template details.

  5. Click Install agent.

Notes

Use Create with AI when you already know what you want to build and want Yeeflow to help generate a starting point.

Some resources, including Approval form, Data list, AI Agent, and Copilot, can also be created from pre-built templates. Templates are useful when you want to start from a common business scenario and customize it later.

Use blank creation when you need full control over the resource structure and configuration.
